Privacy and saving your drawings
Updated October 25, 2026.
Images are edited in the browser
Paint.surf reads an image you choose and edits a canvas on your device. Drawing, selections and text are handled in that active browser tab. The editing feature does not upload your chosen picture to an image-processing server.
Save is an explicit action
The app does not automatically back up your picture or synchronize it to an account. File > Save creates a browser download in PNG or JPEG format. Closing or reloading the page can lose unsaved work; undo history is limited to the active session. Keep the original image and download your finished copy before leaving.
Website traffic is different from artwork
The browser still requests the app, scripts and assets. Hosting and security services can process technical request details such as IP addresses, requested URLs and browser information. Local image editing should not be read as a guarantee that visiting a website is anonymous or creates no network traffic.
Advertising and cookie choices
This site uses Google AdSense. Google and other advertising partners may use cookies and technical data for advertising, including ads based on previous visits, subject to applicable consent choices. Read our privacy and cookie policy for provider information and ways to manage or opt out of personalized advertising.
Clipboard and downloaded files
System clipboard access depends on browser permission. A picture you copy or download can remain in clipboard history or the Downloads folder after you close Paint.surf. On a shared device, review those locations yourself. Clearing the canvas does not erase copies already saved elsewhere.
